The inspiration behind this innovative design came from the realization that our thumbs often touch the food in the bowl while eating, which can be unclean and affect our overall dining experience.

Umbrella is a ceramic bowl that challenges the conventional way of holding bowls. Instead of the fingers touching the mouth of the bowl, Umbrella features a beautiful edge around its waist, resembling a flying skirt. This unique design provides a new and hygienic way to hold the bowl, ensuring that your thumb remains clean and away from the food.

The concave waist edge of Umbrella also serves a practical purpose. It acts as a buffer, preventing soup from spilling over the sides and keeping your tablecloth clean. This thoughtful feature adds convenience to your dining experience, allowing you to enjoy your meal without worrying about messes.

Made from high-quality ceramics, Umbrella can be produced using two methods: throwing and molding. The former is suitable for small-scale production, while the latter is ideal for mass-market availability. The bowl is finished with a misty blue glaze, giving it an elegant and sophisticated appearance.

With dimensions of 120mm x 63mm x 70mm, Umbrella is designed to fit comfortably in your hand, providing a comfortable grip and a delightful dining experience. Its unique properties and considerate design make it a standout piece of tableware.
